Death Knight Leveling Guide
Before starting this Death Knight leveling guide you should remember that the information was gained from WotLK Beta and could change before the official release of Wrath of the Lich King. If any changes to the mini guide are necessary they’ll be posted at the bottom or included in the main text with a different color of font.
In between Raiding I’ve still been buying, testing and writing my own warcraft leveling guide as well as watching to see if anyone is about to release a WotLK leveling guide or some such thing. So far the only person I have seen advertise a leveling guide for Northrend is Joana, or the persona behind the character anyway.
The page starts “Joana is hard at work making an in-depth guide for Blizzard’s new expansion pack, Wrath of the Lich King,” I can only assume he was lucky enough to get a Beta invite. After his record breaking leveling and winning the leveling competition in 2006 I guess Blizzard couldn’t really ignore him.
For more information about the new horde leveling guide head over to Joana’s guide and in the address bar above type in /wotlk-guide.htm and you find out all the new stuff on offer. The only down side to this is it’s only a horde leveling guide. As yet I’ve not found anyone with an alliance leveling guide for WotLK yet, but I will keep looking.
Back to this Death Knight leveling guide. The first thing to note is that although you start at level 55 in Tyer’s Hand in the Eastern Plaguelands you won’t be doing any of the existing quests already there, so the warcraft levelling guide you will be no use for this. A load of new quests have been added to the Death Knight starting zone but there should be enough to see you for level 55 to 58 easily. At level 58 you can either stay in EPL or move into the Outlands and from what I’ve read so far about the Death Night there should be no problem in handling the mobs at level 58 there.

Death Knight Levels 58+
You should be level 58 easy by now but if for any reason your not you can do a bit of grinding to get you there. Head to the Death Knight class trainer and get your last leason before the Outland. Go to the nearest Runeforge and affix a rune to your new weapon. Talk to the flightmaster to fly to Swamp of Sorrows and enter the Dark Portal in Blasted Lands. WooHoo! a Death Knight in Outland Congratulations!!!
