Free WoW Leveling Guide – Shaman Lvl 5-10
Onwards and upwards! Welcome back to Jórjäs Free WoW Leveling Guide for Shaman. This is part 2 in a long series of posts that will follow me as I wander through the world of Azeroth. This is not a WoW power leveling guide and if its that you want you should go here for your HORDE leveling guide! Or here for your ALLIANCE leveling guide!
I have written in a previous post about why I prefer these WoW leveling guides to the others on the market, have a look if you haven’t done so already.
On with the questing! So you should have The Missing Scout in your quest log, I think it should be the only quest left! Heading to 72.60 or SW or (1) on the map you hand in and accept The Blood Elves, now for some killing. Just behind him there are loads of these blood elves, you only need 10 for the quest but I enjoyed killing them so slayed a few more, the drops were also handy. The follow on from this quest Blood Elf Spy can be a bit tricky but take your time and it’s easy. Surveyor Candress has a couple of guards so the best plan is to take her out 1st. This way if you die you can run back to your corpse and loot her after you res up. She should also drop a map that starts Blood Elf Plans, a simple hand in quest. Back to the crash site to hand in these 2 quests and get The Emitter and hand this in for Travel To Azure Watch. There was a time when I thought these type of quests were stupid. The ones were guy at point ‘A’ gives you a quest to talk to guy at point ‘B’, he then gives you another quest back a guy ‘A’, but now I know these are easy exp points.
I was well on my way to level 7 when I left Azurmyst Isle. I collected Word From Azure Watch from the guy you pass on the path (2) then headed on across the river. There is a fishing trainer there with Red Snapper quest (3). I done this for the XP points but its also good to do if you want to have fishing as one of your secondary professions. A huge pain in the ass to level, fishing is a very good way to keep the cost of leveling cooking down. At higher levels the fish are also much sought after items by some classes especially healers and tanks, so don’t over look them as you level. The red snapper are caught in the river you stand at by throwing the net into the water were there’s a school of red snapper. Hand this quest in I got Find Acteon and headed west into Azure Watch.
The first thing I done when I got there was seek out the Inn and make this place my home for my Hearthstone. I had 3 quests to hand in here and got The Great Moongraze Hunt in return. Find the First Aid Trainer and accept the quest Medicinal Purpose. That was all that was available to me at lvl7 but there was a lot of Grey ! marks about, this showed me there was a lot of quests to come.
I made my way south out of the town to Odesyus Landing and killed the moongraze stag’s and collected vines from the root tapers in the area to the east of the path (4). These both have a really bad drop rate and I dinged level 8 killing them. I continued on to the landing and accepted Cookie’s Jumbo Gumbo, A Small Start and picked up cooking skill, then hearthed back to Azure SKIP THIS STEP IF YOU DONT WANT SKINNING PROFESSION!.
Now this step was a bit out of sequence and involves a bit of running about but I wanted to get skinning as one of my trade professions but to learn it you must first be able to talk with the Furbolg in the area. I picked up Learning The Language and trained my level8 Shaman spells here. This was a big upgrade to my dps with the addition of Lightening Shield Rank 1, and the main stuff like Rockbiter Weapon and Lightening Bolt upgrading to Rank 2.
Learning The Language quest chain is easy if you follow the spirit and watch what it says in the chat window, all the clues are there. It ends at the Bristlelimb Village with The Prophecy Of Akida which has you killing Bristle limb Furblogs to get keys to release 8 captives. Generally an easy quest chain if you follow the spirit like I said before. From here I travelled north–east to Stillpine Hold, via Azure to hand in, to get skinning profession then I ran back to the Odesyus Landing killing skinable animals as I went. This is all a bit of a long run and should only be done if you want the skinning profession as one of your gathering skills.
From Odesyus Landing I headed east along the beach killing crabs until I reached Geezle’s Camp (5). Pick up the compass at 59.67 and the map at 58.66 and head back to the landing killing crabs again. I dinged level 9 doing killing these crabs, you should have the 6 crawler meat before getting back to the landing. Hand in Cookie’s Jumbo Gumbo, A Snall Start and picked up I’ve Got A Plant, Reclaiming The Ruins and Precious & Fragile Things Need Special Handling.
I ran back to Azure now and collected the tree stump and pile of leaves for ‘I’ve Got A Plant’ from the same area as the vines and moongraze stags (4). You should have Stillpine Hold in your quest log and head north. You can also pick up Murlocs……Why Here? Why Now? and Beast of The Apocalypse from Azure watch if your level 8, which you should be by now. Head north and kill the ravagers (6) for their hides then head west to get the sacs of grain from the murlocs at 34.11 (7), then head south to Stillpine hold, hand in and pick up Chieftan Oomooroo and Search Stillpine Hold from the Chief.
Head into Stillpine Hold killing as you go and when you get to a fork in the path go left. Stay left as you enter the big cave and head towards the big red crystal and avoid the 2 headed dog. Once this quest completed you get Blood Crystal but be ready as when you accept this quest it spawns two wildkin on top of you. Back at the fork in the path I went right and followed that until I seen a bridge. Just over this bridge is the Oomooroo, on his own but just make sure you kill the mobs about to aviod any accidental pulls. I was level 10 by the time I got to him so was easy enough. I killed my way out of the cave and handed these in and made my way to Azure to train and do my class quest. As I went I killed more skinable mobs and got Strange Findings drop off a panther. Back in Azure this quest lead onto Nightstalkers Clean Up, Isle 2…. but I was here for the Shaman level 10 quest Call of Fire
Shaman Only – At bit of a run about this one but like all class quests I stop everything to do this and get my new talent. From Azure I ran north back towards Stillpine Hold and went east from there to 59.10 (A). If your in the area and see a large orange flame thats him
. He then has you go to stillpine hold and kill the owlbeast for a torch in the second part of Call of Fire.
The next part in the Call of Fire quest chain has you running to the other side of the island. At 11.82 you will see a large straw effigy, this should be clicked on only after you have cleared the area of mobs and unpacked the bag which the flame gave you. Remember don’t use flame shock on the summoned mob he is immune to fire.
Use the orb of returning now to get back to the big flame dude and hand in and get the next part in Call of Fire which has you running to Azure Watch only to get another Call of Fire this time to go to Exodar, pfffft, more running. In Exodar fnd the Shaman trainer and hand in the quest to get your Fire Totem. While here I grab some new Shaman spells Flame Shorch, Flametounge Weapon & Strength of the Totum. I said this was a large run about quest but if I had to do it again I would just do the pieces as I went about questing.
While on this run about I handed in any quests that were completed and accepted the follow ones. That’s all for this part 2 of my free WoW leveling guide. I hope it is helping a little but it its going to slow for you then try leveling faster with a HORDE leveling guide or an ALLIANCE guide! If you have any suggestions on how this guide could be imporved (other than faster) then please leave some comments below.
Tips
Grey ! means they have a quest but you are not at the required level.
Collecting proffesions is the best way to make extra money.
