Free WoW Leveling Guide – Shaman 10-15
This is part 3 of Jórjä’s Free WoW Leveling Guide for Shaman. Follow her while she wanders about Azeroth leveling as a Shaman in preparation for the next expansion Wrath of the Lich King. With no release date for this expansion there’s no hurry so this will not be a power leveling guide. If that’s what you want I can recommend you visit Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide for both your Horde and Alliance leveling guides.
If you have been reading my guide you may notice that I have changed my recommended leveling guide! The reason for this is after testing out the Ultimate WoW guide I think its better than the previous, and it gives you so much more for your money. You get both factions leveling guide, a gold farming guide, a guide on making gold from the auction house and lots more class, pvp and talent specific guides.
At the end of the last post Jórjä was in Exodar so to start she hearthed to Azure watch and head south out of town to Odeysus Landing and handed in “I’ve Got A Plant” and accepted “Trees Company“. On the run about for the next group of quests I keep a watch out for Azure Snapdragons at the base of trees for An Alternative Alternative.
She headed east from here to Wrathscale Point (1) and stared killing the naga there for “Reclaiming the Ruins” and picked up the ancient Relics seen lying about for “Precious and Fragile Things Need Special Handling“. One of the naga dropped a rune covered tablet which started “Rune Covered Tablet” quest.
Once these 2 quests were complete I headed west onto Silvermyste Isle and used the tree disguise (2). This quest requires you to just wait there until 2 gnomes show up and have a conversation after they walk away again you should have completed the quest, simple! I then went to the west of the island (3) and completed the “Missing Fisherman” and accepted “All that Remains“.
While killing the Owl beasts I Dinged level 12 and also found an escort quest on the beach near a log (4) “Cry For Help“. Easy quest to do as the mobs that attack are not in very large groups. I handed these quest in back at the dock and then hearthed back to Azure watch handed in there and went south to Odyesus Landing and handed in the four quests here and accepted “Show Gnomercy” and “Warlord Sriss’tiz“. The first one of this was easy, head down onto the beach find the wandering gnome, talk to him, kill him, hand back in. The second quest was a bit of a run but was easy enough to do I ran back to Wrathscale Point and found the cave Tides’ Hollow (5). I killed my way into the cave and dropped down a big hole ringed with candles. He was in front of me and was a very easy kill even with the add that joined in. I killed my way out and ran back to the Landing and handed this in then ran all the way to the north of the Island, time to leave Azuremyst and enter Bloodmyst Isle for some questing but before I did I got the chance to ride an Elkk.
On Kessel’s Crossing (1a) I accepted “A Favorite Treat” then turned in “Elekks Are Serious Business“, this was a quest I picked up when I was in Exodar. The next part was fun, I accepted “Alien Predators” and “The Kessel Run” quest which gives you the use of an Elkk for 15 mins to run around Azuremyst warning the camp chiefs. You have 15 minutes to use the mount. High Chief Stillpine (46,20) was my first port of call and accepted “Warn Your People” that’s all there was to the quest. So I ran to the other 2 camps Azure Watch and Odesyus landing and done the same then ran all the way back to Kessel’s Crossing .
BLOODMYST ISLE
That’s Azuremyst finished with and its onto Bloodmyst Isle until Jórjä’s level 20. If you are following other guides then this part is not necccessary but for shamans there is a quest that starts here so there’s no point in leaving only to come back, and anyway I think it’s a nice area to level in.
I done Alien Predators and A Favorite Treat (2) before running to Blood Watch. The pears that you need for the second quest there are really hard to find even when they are glinting. If you cant find them head east of the path around the Furblog camp there are some there as well. Once these were done I turned them in and dinged 13! In Blood Watch there are a huge amount of quests to do and a some that lead to others by turning in quests with Blood Watch itself.
I will list the quests in Jórjä’s log and what I done to get what!
Accepted “Beds, Bandages & Beyond” handed this in for “On the Wings of a Hippograph” got the flight path while there.
Turning in “Report to Exarch Admetius” leads “What Argus Means to Me” which I turn leads to “Blood Watch”
Explorers League Is That Something That Something For Gnomes?
Mac’Aree Mushroom Menagerie (Blood Mushroom (w) FelCone Fungus (x) Polyspoore (y) Stinkhorn (z) )
Now with so many quests in what order to do them was not going to be easy to decide. The path I done may not be the best and it did jump about a bit to be honest. The reason for the jumping about was I didn’t have much time to play, so each time I logged in I forgot where we were up to and spent a while running about catching up. Anyway I will try and write down a path I done and tell you the notes I made as I went along.
I headed north out of town to Bladewood (3) to kill the blood elves for “Blood Watch“. As I travelled there I made sure I also killed any bears, ravagers, flutterers, and treants I came across “Irradiated Crystal Shards“. These have a god awefull drop rate so I didn’t focus on this quest at all I just killed things as I went about questing. I handed in “Blood Watch” and then went south out of town to Nazzivian and found the monument (4) for “Know Thine Enemy“. While there at the momunent I seen Tzerak so killed him thinking he was a named mob with nice loot but all he had was Tzerak’s Armor Plate which starts “Signs of the Legion“. I killed the satyr and felsworn for this quest before leaving the area. I also dinged 14!
A note about the mushrooms for “Mac’Aree Mushroom Menagerie“, these things are pretty much dotted about the island so its best to keep your eye out for them as you go. I found Jórjä’s mushrooms at the following points, Blood Mushroom (w), Fel Cone Fungus (x), Polyspoore (y), Stinkhorn (z). From what I have read this is pretty much standard spawn points so have a look at them if you are struggling.
I headed back to Blood Watch and took that flight to Exodar and handed in “Hippogryph Master Stephanos” and accepted “Return to Topher Loaal“. More importantly I trained in the following Shaman spells
Purge (Rank 1)
Earth Shock (Rank 3)
Lighting Bolt (Rank 3)
Stoneskin Totem (Rank 2)
I also trained in cooking and levelled it to 40 using Herb Baked Eggs and Spice Bread, none of which is very useful so I sold the all to the vendor……
Back on Bloodmyst and the quests I headed south to Blacksilt Shore (6) and started tagging murlocs for “Catch and Release“, this quest is a bit of a pain because you have to get within range to use the tagger you have been given but can’t be in combat so it’s a bit of trial and error. Also it only works on scouts! Another named mob was in the area Cruelfin but again no nice loot only a Red Crystal Pendant which started “Cruelfin’s Necklace“.
I then headed east to the same place were I killed the Ravager’s and clicked on the big red crystal (7) for “Learning from the Crystals“. I ran back to Blood Watch and handed in all my competed quests and accepted the following
“WANTED: Deathclaw” From the sign outside the Inn accept
I found myself in the Ruins of Loreth’Aran (8) after leaving Blood Watch and heading north. I was killing Naga when I came across the Draenei Cartographer lying on the ground. This is what happened I don’t know why I went this way and didn’t know there was a quest there but anyway I handed in “The Missing Survey Team” and accepted “Salvaging the Data“. As I killed the naga on my way out again one of them dropped the data I wanted so I headed back to Blood Watch. I handed in “Salvaging the Data”, dinged 15 and accepted “The Second Sample“.
OK I’m going to stop now as this already is a large post. I hope your following along with this free WoW leveling guide and that your finding it easy enough to follow. If you have any suggestions please leave a comment below.
