Free WoW Leveling Guide – Shaman 15-20

Welcome back! This is part 4 of Jórjä’s Free WoW Leveling Guide for Shaman. At the moment she is still on Bloodmyst Isle but by the end of this we should be moving out of this area. If you have started another class, not Draeni, then you can move onwards now but for us, we will be staying about until level 20. Jórjä is being prepared for the next expansion Wrath of the Lich King, but with no release date yet this won’t be a  power leveling guide. If that’s what you want I can recommend you visit Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide for both your Horde and Alliance leveling guides.

At the end of the last part I listed the quests I had in the log so I will assume you know what they are and just get on with it.

Bloodmyst Isle

I headed over to the Cryo-Core [1] (37,61) killing butterflies for Culling the Flutters, bears for Bear Necessities and mutated lashers for “Constrictor Vines” [2]. These last two quests have a very bad drop rate so I didn’t finish them until later levels. Inside the building you’ll find the corpse for on the floor for “Searching For Galaen” accept the follow on “Galaen’s Fate“. While there I killed the sunhawks blood elves for “Intercepting the Message” and “Galaen’s Fate” and dinged 16 while doing this. I then headed over to 45.47 for the Second Sample [3]. Then went back to Bloodwatch handed completed quests and accepted The Final Sample. I took Jórjä for some more Shaman training, this isn’t something you need to do at every 2 levels but as I said this isn’t a power leveling guide and Jórjä is in no hurry.

Shaman Level 16 Training

Lightening Shield (Rank 2)

Rockbiter Weapon (Rank 3)

Cure Poison

Heading north out of Bloodwatch towards the waterfall [4] I stopped at the Axxarien camp (41,32) [5] and start killing satyr for “Containing the Threat” and found the corrupted crystals lying on the ground. Zevrax was at the farthest part of camp at 41,29 near a big monument. To the left of him was a large red crystal that I used my pick on for “The Final Sample“.

Once at the waterfall I jumped down and found Deathclaw, a scraggy looking bear, at the bottom [6] with 2 other mob. I cleared them and pulled Deathclaw back to kill him. I then headed east along the beach and at the 2nd turtle shell (41.21)  handed in “Explorers’ League, Is That Something for Gnomes.” And accepted “Pilfered Equipment” and “Artifacts of the Blacksilt“.

I found Clopper’s Equipment in the very next camp east along the beach but the idols and knives took a lot of kills to get them all. During this killing I dinged level 17 trying to get the items. The reward after handing these in was a map that started “A Map to Nowhere.”

I headed east over to the big island Wyrmscar [7], and wandered around the edge looking for the mushrooms for “Ysera’s Tears“. During these wander’s I came across Toreth who had another quest “Restoring Sanctity” for me. This quest had me go to Ragefeather Ridge [8] (61.41) back on Bloodmyst were I had to kill the owlkins here to get to the dragon bones around the trees.

Back over on Wyrmscar Island I handed this in and accepted “Into the Dream” which had me killing the whelps and broodlings in the area. Not as easy as it seems and it’s a long run from the graveyatd should you die. After handing this in I skipped the next part as it was a group quest.

I turned in “The Bloodcurse Legacy” next to Captain Edward Hanes on Wyrmscar Isle. I did come across him before the last quest chain but he starts a little chain that is best done one after the other as he puts an underwater breathing and swim speed buff on you that only lasts 20mins.

The next quest he has is “The Bloodcursed Naga” which requires 10 naga kills the next one “The Hopeless Ones…” wants 4 ghosts dead from the ship wrecks further out. These should be done as fast as possible as the final quest in the chain “Ending the Bloodcurse” had Jórjä swim across to the other Island [8] to the south. Bloodcurse Isle. I headed for 82.48 and killed my way up the path to the top and cleared the area before clicking on the large Azshara statue there. Atoph the Bloodcursed is a big level 19 dude that is an easy kill if you have cleared the area. I made sure I done this fast and didn’t die so I still had the swim buff on me so jumped back into the water and swam all the way back to Captain Edward Hanes to hand in.

I then hearth to Bloodwatch and handed in all my completed quests and dinged 18 while doing this. There was a small quests chain that started with “What We Know…” that was completed by talking to someone in the main building and getting “What We Don’t Know…” in return. I then had to go to the prison cage and talk to the prisoner, and after a long conversation I had turned this in for “Vindicator’s Rest“, it said this was a group quest but it’s not. I logged out at this point and didn’t get back to Jórjä for some time and yet again forgot where I was up to when I got back.

My quests log looked like this:

A map to no where

I shoot magic into the darkness

Cutting a path

Critters in the void

Galans’s fate

Matis the cruel

Oh, the tangled web they weave

Bloodcurse legacy

Ysera’s tears

Fouled water spirits

The missing expedition

Vindicator’s Rest

I went and got some Shaman training

Flame shock 2

Stoneclaw totem 2

Flametounge weapon 2

Healing wave 4

Tremor totem

Then I started to quests again. I picked up the book for “A map to no where” [9] (61.41) and accepted “Deciphering the Book“. I ran back to Bloodwatch and handed this in and accepted “Nolkai’s Words” and completed this by opening a pile of dirt behind the tree at Wrathscale Lair (67.66). I then headed north to Warp Piston (51.24) to kill voids for “I Shoot Magic Into the Darkness“.

I then headed on to vindicators rest and hand in and accepted all the quests there

Treant Transformation” and “Oh, the Tangled Webs They Weave” but skipped the escort quest. I then headed north killing any mutated tanglers, corrupted stompers and enraged ravagers as I went. I arrived at some guy near Amberweb Pass who had “There Alive! Maybe“. If you look at your mini map you will see a path to the left of 24.34 this was were I went to kill the myst leechers and spinners for “The Missing Expedition” and the white wobbely blobs for “There Alive! Maybe“. At the top was Zarakh (18,35) a large spider who after clearing the area a little was an easy kill.

As I headed over to the sun portal [12] near the Vector Coil (19.61) to kill the void spawns I stopped at the path [11] and waited for “Matis The Cruel“. A group quest but can be done real easy if, when you see him shoot the flare gun then wait for the summoned group to get aggro then join in until he’s dead.

I then ran back to Vidicators rest and handed in all completed quests there then hearthed back to Blood Watch and handed in everything I had completed and Dinged 20!!!!! There was a load of quests still available to me to do on the island but I was bored now so decided to head onwards and up wards.

I flew to Exodar and got my level 20 Shaman training but more importantly I got the Ghost Wolf.

Frost Shock 1

Lightening bolt 4

Searing totem 2

Frostbrand weapon 1

Ghost wolf

Lesser healing wave

Healing Stream Totem

So that’s was it pretty mucj for Jorja on the Island and specifically for the Draeni leveling, it was time to take this girl out into the rest of Azeroth. I headed to Auberdine and made it my home and picked up the flight path, and here is where I will end this part of the Free WoW leveling guide.

See you next time
