Weekend Warrior!
Well actually it’s a Shaman but I will be playing it mainly on the weekends.
After some time playing other characters I’ve decided that my new toon should be a shaman. This will not be a power leveling guide or even a fast leveling guide but my plan is to provide a walkthrough the land of Azeroth reporting things as I do.
A little about Shaman to start us of with! The true hybrid class, shaman’s are called ‘jack of all trades – master of none’, having access to melee enhancing abilities, elemental casting abilities and lots of healing power. However from what I’ve seen in groups and raids they can master healing pretty well and put out a lot of dps, so this hybrid class can specialise and become the top in a chosen field.
Shamans can wear mail, with training at level 40, equip shields and wield a variety of weapons including one-handed maces and axes, staves, fist weapons, daggers and massive two-handed axes and maces.
Cool things about Shaman
- They can transform into ‘Ghost Wolfs’, allowing for fast travel
- They can walk on water
- They can resurrect other players
I have never really looked at the stats when choosing a race and have done so based upon what I’ve had before and what I’ve enjoyed playing. For my Shaman I choose Draeni purely because I already had 2 level 70 characters on the server that could help out with gold, bags and potions etc. I have no real reason for choosing a female other than all my other toon’s are male, but heyhoe.
Who, Where, What…?
OK down to the important stuff! I would like to introduce the star of this show and the lady you will be following for the next few weeks.
Jórjä
She will be travelling through the World of Warcraft leveling most weekends and some evenings (if I don’t get a raid place). You can find her on EU-Terenas so if any European players read this and happen to be passing through why not look me up or add me to your friends list or just say hello.
For those not familiar with Unicode to type the name you need to use a normal J hold down alt and press 162 for the ó normal r and j and hold alt typing 132 for the ä. So the sequence goes Jalt162rjalt132. For more information on using this code in your name check out Warcraft’s naming policy. Then head over to this page to work out your next toons name.
Well that’s all for now i’ll see you in a couple of days with information on leveling 0-5 and what I did along the way. Hope you can join me and follow along as I travel Azeroth on my way to level 70.
bb oXo
